How to correctly use a mooring buoy

Buoys must be carefully chosen to fully support the weight needed, particularly in fast tidal streams. If the buoy does not float correctly in the water, the mooring will be unsatisfactory and less visible.

The anchor chain must always be connected directly to the mooring loop under water. The anchor chain must never be tied to the upper lifting loop!

The upper lifting loop is only used to assist with the initial pick up, not for permanent attachment.
